LUNCH: Corn dog, fries and salad bar

FCCLA:  District 8 Leadership Conference is on Wed, Oct 20. We will leave at 7:55 am and arrive home during the 8th hour. Masks are required at NECC.  It is FCCLA Dress Attire (if you do not have a red polo, -come check one out). Congratulations to the following cross country members who qualified for next week’s State Cross Country Meet in Kearney.  Raina Le, Shilo Shabram, and Lynae Koinzan qualified as individuals as well as a team.  Qualifying for the boys was Ashton Higgins.  Great job by the entire team.

 

FBLA -- You should be selling…. All packets are due on Tuesday, Oct. 19th!

 

Congratulations to Riley Martensen on being selected a NSSA/US Bank Believer and Achiever.

 

Northeast Community College Spring 2022 college classes have been released. Juniors and Seniors received an email with the information. Registration begins on November 1. Classes will fill up fast so be prepared to register on November 1. 

SUBWAY in Neligh is hiring for night and weekend shifts!!! Please stop there and grab an application or apply online!!!! 

 

DC/NYC Travel Opportunities: Once again, Mr. Larsen will be planning a DC/NYC Trip for June of 2023. Students currently in grades 8-11 as well as adults are eligible to travel on this trip.  If interested and looking to sign up or get more information, please visit the link below:

Also, the trip scheduled for last year was postponed due to COVID and we will be traveling this upcoming summer during the first part of June. If you are interested in going on this trip, it is not too late to sign up. Anyone currently in grades 9-12 as well as adults are eligible to attend. Please get in touch with Mr. Larsen directly if you are interested in traveling this summer and I will help you get signed up. 

 

STUDENTS: Please throw away your gum in the trash cans and not on the food trays. The salad bar will only have hard boiled eggs twice a week and each student is limited to 1 whole egg, they will no longer be in halves.

The American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program is now open for grades 9-12. The local contest will be held in October. Each high school winner can compete in the district contest in November. The Nebraska American Legion will present awards to the top three winners in each district contest. See Mrs. Knust, Mr. Bloedorn or Mr. Larsen for more information.

Jostens will be here on Monday, October 18 at 1:00 to meet with Seniors and Sophomores. Seniors will meet at 1:07 in the lunch room with sophomores to follow when completed. Seniors order caps and gowns and sophomores can order class rings or other school jewelry.
