Homecoming week kicks off on September 8th at Riverside Park with a school cornhole tournament, followed by a skit competition and bonfire. From September 9th to 13th, students and staff are encouraged to dress up according to the day’s theme:

Monday: Color day: 7th grade - green; 8th grade - red; 9th grade - yellow; 10th grade - orange; 11th grade - white; 12th grade - black; and school employees - pink.

Tuesday: Hee Haw day

Wednesday: Patriot day

Thursday: Squad/Pair day

Friday: Maroon/White day

This year’s float theme is memes.  The floats will be on display during the parade that takes place down main street on Friday, September 13th.  The following is what each grade will represent on their meme-inspired float:

7th grade - Expectations vs. Reality

8th grade - Minecraft

9th grade - VSCO Girls

10th grade - Area 51

11th grade - Frat Boys & Cornhole

12th grade - The Office

Volleyball action against Elkhorn Valley on Tuesday, September 10th will kick off the athletic festivities as the team’s first outing on the home court.  They will also travel to Burwell on Thursday for a triangular. Our football team will host West Holt on Friday at 7:00 P.M. Following the football game, the coronation of the homecoming king and queen will be held on the football field. All students in grades 9-12 are welcome to attend the homecoming dance in the gym directly after the coronation.
