Mrs. Hanzel’s class has been working on reading with fluency, emotion, and expression. Because of the 20-year anniversary of 9/11, they decided to do a reader’s theater skit about that day. This reader’s theater about 9/11 facilitated reading with fluency, expression, and allowed this group to put themselves in the emotion of the day.
Reader’s Theater is a small play that combines reading practice and performing. The goal is to boost students' reading skills and confidence. The students had reading parts and added props to help emphasize the emotions of the day.
