Neligh-Oakdale Public Schools

Application Deadline: February 12, 2019Requirements: Top 1/2 of class scholastically; junior year completed; shown good citizenship; be interested in government and current events; have good health and appearance; and must attend entire session. Cornhusker Girl's & Boy's State will be held June 2-8 at the city campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Cornhusker Girl's & Boy's State will give at least one boy and one girl from Neligh-Oakdale the opportunity to participate in this state-wide event and learn more about our state, country, and local government through actual participation. This is one of the highest honors that a high school student can receive and relationships formed during this week long event will last a lifetime. There are also many social activities planned for the week to include dances and athletic events.
