Rice Participates in River Battle Bowl

Rice participated in the River Battle Bowl, which is an All-Star game. Featuring Nebraska and Iowa All-Stars. He was one of 47 Nebraska participants. Rice played strong safety. He recorded 7 tackles and a pass break up. Nebraska won the contest 35-20. Rice is the first Neligh-Oakdale student-athlete to participate in the River Battle Bowl. Congratulations Austin!

NOHS Introduces "Hour of Code"

As a part of the push towards technology education, NOPS is introducing a new computer science event from Code.org's "Hour of Code." This new event is to introduce the basic necessities to coding and allows students interested in the field to test the water. It has become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science, starting with 1-hour coding activities but expanding to all sorts of community efforts. . . .

JH Girls Basketball Off to a Good Start

Junior High girls basketball team has started off their season with a couple of wins. They started the season with a win against West Holt 18-15. The girls then followed up with a 35-30 overtime win against O'Neill. Looks like they have a bright future. Their next game is Novemeber 27th at O'Neill St. Marys at 6:30 P.M.
