Neligh-Oakdale celebrates Veterans Day by having an assembly with former veterans from the military and with guest speaker, Calvin McCloy. He spoke about what had happened to him during his 21 years of service under the ARMY. FBLA set up Christmas Decorations at Courthouse

Members of the Neligh-Oakdale FBLA chapter went out this weekend to set up Christmas lights and decorations down at the courthouse. Biannually the chapter goes out and help the community and set up before the holidays and take down the decorations when the joyful season comes to an end. Members who participate are benefited and it helps to go to the State Leadership Conference where they will be able to compete with other chapters in . . .

Red Ribbon Week Promotes Drug-Free Living at NOPS

Saying no to drugs was the motto last week at NOPS. Friday, students lined up to sign the pledge to stay drug free as part of National Red Ribbon Week. The Red Ribbon campaign first started in the late 80's after the death of a DEA agent. During all of last week, students learned about how to live a drug-free and healthy lifestyle through many fun activities.

Wrestling Fundraiser Begins

The Neligh-Oakdale wrestling team has started their fundraiser on Thursday, November 8th, and will be selling up to the 26th of this month. They are selling a variety of popcorn and a pretzel sampler. Some flavors of the popcorn consist of Chicago Style, Buttery Caramel, Chocolate Delight, Peanut Butter Delight, New England Style White Cheddar, and the pretzel sampler has pretzels enrobed in milk chocolate, dark chocolate peanut, . . .

Nate Metschke Receives Touchdown For Teachers Award

One-Act Starts Off Season Well

The Neligh-Oakdale One-Act team started it season on a good note. Six students brought home outstanding actor awards including Haley Kerkman, Cade Wilkinson, Cole Belitz, Christian Carothers, Griffin Claussen, and Sadie Heckert. The team placed 6th overall at the competition. They will compete next week at the NVC East Competition in Elgin on Tuesday, November 13th.

Neligh Public Library to Host Teen Night

Come to the Neligh Public Library on Saturday, November 24th to have fun with friends and peers for the first-ever "After Hours Teen Night." There will be Food, Indoor Golf, Games/Activities, as well as Movies and Crafts. The night will start at 6 PM and end at 9 PM. Must RSVP by 2 P.M. on Friday, November 23rd.
