The 4th graders created the three types of rocks for their CKLA geology unit using Starbursts. They first layered the "sediments" to form sedimentary rocks. Then they applied heat and pressure to their sedimentary rocks to form metamorphic rocks. Next, the rocks "deep inside the earth" (microwave) melted into magma. Finally the magma cooled and hardened into igneous rock.
Morning preschool celebrated the 100th day with some balloon fun!

First Graders have been studying about the history of the Earth in CKLA. Today they created the layers of the Earth - inner core, outer core, mantle, and crust in a visual model with different colors of pudding and Oreos!
