Last night at the Battle of the Bands in Tilden, Neligh-Oakdale was awarded "Best Drumline" and Thomas Johnson won "Best Trombone Car Rev".

The VFW Voice of Democracy Scholarship is due on Monday, November 1 by 9:00am, even though the form says Sunday, October 31. The theme is "America: Where do we go from here?" There is a total national award of $154,000. Locally you can earn up to $250-$500.
What you need to enter:
3-5 minute audio essay on a cd or flash drive, the essay typed, and completed entry form.

FCCLA: Congratulations to Ashley for receiving 1st place for the District 8 Creed Speaking/Interpretation. Congratulations to the FCCLA Knowledge Quiz Bowl for receiving Runner-up (Sadie, Ashley, Chloe, Raina, & Vanessa). Sadie was recognized for completing the Speak out for FCCLA Power of One project and sang the National Anthem for the conference.
Musical Auditions will be held on Monday, November 1st in the Choir room.
Please arrive by 6:30 pm and we will go over all characters and the songs/lines that go along with each role, followed by auditions. If you have any interest in participating you need to attend the meeting on the 1st. Any questions please see Mrs. Sehi.
Friday will be a regular school day. Students will need to have parental permission turned in to the office by Thursday to attend the game that starts at 6:00 PM. Only 7th and 8th period will be allowed for a school activity. The rest of the time will count as an absence. Students will need to check in with Mr. Dempsey or Mr. Bloedorn once they arrive at the game.
